Principles of the International Environmental counsel:
1. We are a non-party affiliated and diversified forum of all people who are worried about the future of our earth. Representatives of different organizations of the environmental movement, citizens’ movements, political parties, scientists, adolescents, producers of progressive environmental technologies, farmers and active persons from
the workers’ movement and social movements cooperate democratically, on an equal basis and bring in their positions and experiences.
2. The principle of openness in questions of world outlook is practiced.
3. Each participant has the right to play a part with ideas and opinions and is asked to participate according to his/
her possibilities for the overall responsibility for the Environmental Counsel.
4. We develop a democratic culture of debate to settle disagreements. Decisions and resolutions are democratically discussed and, if possible, unanimously decided upon and published. Each assembly summarizes its results and positions, if necessary, including contrary positions and proposals for common activities.
5. The Counsel is based on international solidarity and cooperation. Fascist, racist or fanatical-religious endeavours are excluded.
6. The Environmental Counsel is financially independent and finances itself independently.
7. A coordination group can be elected at the Counsel in order to organize a subsequent counsel.
8. The environmental market is part of the counsel.
